We love Reading
There is great emphasis on the importance of reading in all classes but particularly at the junior end of the school where we endeavour to foster a love of reading. The staff organises “fun” days to encourage the love of reading. Such days include “Character Day” when pupils and staff dress up as a favourite book character. Book Week is celebrated every year and pupils are encouraged to enter local and national competitions.
Reading Buddies
Every Wednesday all the children in the School engage in a very exciting and enjoyable activity where we meet together and read to one another. In this way pupils get to know one another very well and are engaged in reading and listening to each other.
